The Tesson Foundation provides support for schools and other educational programs in Louisiana. The grants are for educators to stimulate learning in the classroom and programs to encourage youth (K-8) to develop their skills. There are three classes of monetary support available from the Tesson Foundation to implement proposed projects that meet the Tesson Foundation criteria:
EARLY IMPACT GRANT
This grant is for educational projects under $10,000 and the money is to be spent in a calendar year.
Examples of projects that can be funded by this grant are materials to support STEM, other related programs,
and funding for innovative technology in the classroom.
This grant is for educational programs over $10,000 and the money is to be spent over two (2) calendar years.
Examples of projects that can be funded by this grant are projects larger but with a similar scope of the Early
Impact Grant; monetary support for assistance implementing technology such as creative licenses, software,
and transportation; and extracurricular programs that relate to education such as BETA; etc.
This grant is for educational programs and projects under $50,000 and the money is to be spent over four (4) calendar
years. Examples of projects that can be funded by this grant include but are not limited to projects larger but with a
similar scope of the other grants; monetary support to enhance educational departments; and monetary assistance
in the creation of a scholarship fund to inspire learning, growth, and development; etc.
